PROGRAM UPDATES THROUGH 10/10/07:

Below is the latest list of "late-breaking" news items from APPIC-member internship programs. These announcements will be distributed to MATCH-NEWS at regular intervals during the internship application process in order to provide applicants with important updates about programs to which they may be applying. Training Directors who wish to submit news items for future announcements should refer to the information at the end of this message.

Applicants should remember that programs can update their APPIC Directory information at any time. The "Last Modified" field in the Directory will let you know if a program's information has been recently updated.

Starting in the 2008-09 training year, we will not be offering the outreach rotation at the G.F. Strong Rehab. Centre. Interns will continue to do a rotation at Sunny Hill Health Centre with the majority of their time continuing to be at the Children's Hospital site. Our website and the APPIC and CCPPP directories are up-to-date to include this change.

=====

APPIC Member #: 1612 Site Name: Virginia Commonwealth University - University Counseling Services Location: Richmond, VA Training Director: (Interim) Claudia Carroll, Ph.D.- cecarroll@vcu.edu - 804-828-6200

An error in the APPIC directory had listed of the minimum number of AAPI Intervention and Assessment hours as 1000. The correct information is that our program has no requirements for the minimum number of AAPI Intervention and Assessment hours for applicants. The error has been corrected in the APPIC on-line directory.

There was some inconsistency as to who was training director & which contact information was valid in our materials. All have been updated online. The printed APPIC directory still has the old e-mail address listed; please direct all inquiries to the current training director: Beata Geyer Beaudoin, Ph.D., e-mail: geyerbs@umdnj.edu, phone 973-972-5573. Thank you.
