Loan Consolidation

Effective July 1, 2006 In-School loan consolidation is no longer an option.  You must wait until you are no longer enrolled at least half-time and in your grace period in order to consolidate your loans.

If you are interested in loan consolidation you may want to consider the following:

Go to www.nslds.ed.gov , using your Department of Education PIN#, and obtain a complete listing of your student loan history as well as contact information on the current holder of your loan(s).

Once you have your loan history information, it is best for you to work directly with your lender to begin the consolidation analysis and process.

You may download the following Ed FUND reference sheet below to give you at a glance tips for consolidation.
