Patricia Reis (Counseling Psychology 1986)

Patricia Reis M.A. (1986 Counseling Psychology) is a writer and psychotherapist in private practice in Portland, Maine. She is the author of many articles and three books focusing on women’s psychology, mythology, and creative process. Her books are:
Through the Goddess: A Woman’s Way of Healing, Daughters of
Saturn: From Father’s Daughter to Creative Womanand
The Dreaming Way: Dreams and Art for Remembering and Recovery (with Susan Snow) (available from Spring Journal and Books)

Over the past twenty-three years Patricia has facilitated many artists and writers in bringing their work to fruition. Her primary orientation to creativity is through depth psychology, the psychology of the unconscious, and through the power of image-making. At the same time, she has been very interested in the evolution of feminism, its theories and productions and their impact on culture. Her most recent work is a dvd production: “Arctic Refuge Sutra: Teachings from an Endangered Landscape.” Arctic Sutra pairs powerful images of the Refuge with Reis's poetic and moving commentary about her experience journeying down the Sheenjek River, one of the most remote areas in the United States.
Thomas F. McKenna: Clinical Psychology 1998

Thomas F. McKenna, Ph.D.,(1998 graduate from Clincal Psychology) is a soul-centered depth psychotherapist. He is the co-founder of Life Change Psychotherapy Institute, PC, director of training in archetypal psychotherapy and a practicing therapist for over twenty five years.
LifeChangeTherapy.net
His interest in depth psychotherapy began with his fortunate opportunity to undergo dream therapy with James Hillman in Dallas, Texas in the early 1980’s. Since then he has been pursuing the practice and art of dionysian soul therapy. His published dissertation is entitled The Return of Nietzsche’s Dionysian Psychotherapy. This body of theoretical research argues for a post modern depth psychotherapy not based upon becoming conscious, but based upon a dionysian creative unconscious.(read more)
