Leigh Melander: Mythological Studies 2005
Leigh Melander Ph.D.,(2005 graduate from Mythological Studies)invites you to joinThe Imaginal Institute for a Free Online Conversation on the Work and Contexts of James Hillman.
In celebration of the Special Event for James Hillman, an extraordinary gathering coming next June in Pittsburgh and the accompanying book, Archetypal Psychologies: Reflections in Honor of James Hillman, edited by Stanton Marlan and published by Spring Journal Books, the Imaginal Institute is proud to host a free, seven-week, online conversation beginning February 1, 2008, exploring some of his ideas and those of scholars his work has touched.
Several eminent scholars who have contributed to the upcoming book, including Edward Casey, David Miller, Glen Slater, and Mary Watkins, as well as Hillman’s official biographer, Dick Russell, will join us, along with members of the myth and archetypal psychology community from around the world. Imaginal Institute Founding Fomenter Leigh Melander (Myth Studies ’05) and Fellow Jacob I. Wright (Myth Studies ’06) will host the conversation. (read more)

Thomas F. McKenna: Clinical Psychology 1998

Thomas F. McKenna, Ph.D.,(1998 graduate from Clincal Psychology) is a soul-centered depth psychotherapist. He is the co-founder of Life Change Psychotherapy Institute, PC, director of training in archetypal psychotherapy and a practicing therapist for over twenty five years.

His interest in depth psychotherapy began with his fortunate opportunity to undergo dream therapy with James Hillman in Dallas, Texas in the early 1980’s. Since then he has been pursuing the practice and art of dionysian soul therapy. His published dissertation is entitled The Return of Nietzsche’s Dionysian Psychotherapy. This body of theoretical research argues for a post modern depth psychotherapy not based upon becoming conscious, but based upon a dionysian creative unconscious.(read more)

Amy Kovarick: Counseling Psychology 2005
Amy Kovarick, M.A., (2005 graduate from Counseling Psychology) is an author, life coach and owner of Empowered Motherhood LLC. Amy is the co-author of BABY ON BOARD! Becoming a Mother Without Losing Yourself: A Guide for Moms-to-Be (AMACOM Books, May 2007). She has spent the last five years coaching clients across the U.S. and Canada. Her previous background includes over eighteen years of experience building and running start-up companies.
Empowered Motherhood LLC is a coaching company working with moms and moms-to-be around the country in bringing their full potential to their lives as women and mothers. Maura Conlon-McIvor: Depth Psychology 2004
Maura Conlon-McIvor Ph.D., (2004 graduate from Depth Psychology) is the L.A. Times Best author of She's All Eyes: Memoirs of an Irish-American Daughter
(TimeWarner) which recently had its world premier stage adaptation.
Maura's work has been featured in PEOPLE, ELLE, Glamour, CNN.com, and other publications.
Maura's current interest is teaching others the use of "fresh language" to re-vivify notions of sustainability and the felt sense of belonging to the world. Robert Lloyd: Depth Psychology 2004
Robert Lloyd, Ph.D., MFT (2004 graduate from Depth Psychology) is the clinical director of counseling services at Marine Corps Air Station, Miramar in San Diego County.
